A data processing agreement for business
Business customers accept a data processing agreement through the dashboard, and the accepted version is recorded against the organisation.
When the text changes materially the version moves on, and organisations on an older one are asked to accept again.
What the agreement covers
It sets out the terms under which we handle the material your clients guests upload, when you are the one running the event on their behalf. It is a business document rather than something a private host needs.
For your own party there is nothing to accept. The terms and the privacy page in the footer cover it.
- Check the status in your organisation settings. It says which version is accepted, if any.
- Accept the current version. The acceptance is recorded with the date and the version.
- Re-accept when asked. A prompt appears when the version has moved past yours.
It is versioned
Each acceptance records which version you agreed to and when. That means an agreement is a dated fact rather than a claim, and it also means the record is append-only — accepting a new version does not erase that you accepted the old one.
The current version is shown alongside the status in your settings.
When you have to accept again
When the text changes materially, the version moves forward and organisations still on an older one are shown as needing an update. Nothing stops working in the meantime; it is a prompt rather than a lock.
Cosmetic changes do not move the version. The point of the mechanism is that a bump means something changed that you should read.

The dividing line is whether the guests are yours or somebody else s — the same line that separates a personal from a business account.
Who can accept it
It belongs to the organisation rather than to an individual, so it is an owner-level action. An administrator who cannot see billing cannot accept it either, which is deliberate: it is a contractual commitment rather than a setting.

Getting the text
The current wording is shown in the acceptance flow itself, so you read it before agreeing rather than afterwards. If your legal team needs a copy in advance, or needs the text in another form, write to us and we will send it.
The privacy page in the footer is the general document. This is the narrower, business-facing one.
If you are not a business
Then this does not apply and there is nothing missing from your account. A personal host is not processing anyone else s material on their behalf, so the document has no counterpart for you.
