The 2 formats of the bare code

PNG comes out at 2048 px along each edge, which is enough for anything printed at A4 or smaller. SVG has no resolution at all — it scales to a banner without going soft, and it is what a designer will ask you for. Both arrive with a transparent background.

The small code shown on the page itself is a 600-px preview, not the file. What you download is the larger one.

1. Open QR & signs. The tab sits on the event, next to Overview. The code is ready the moment the event exists.
2. Pick bare code or sign. Bare code for your own layout, a sign template if you want something printable straight away.
3. Export and scan it. Scan the exported file before you print 40 of them. It takes 10 seconds.

Black, white or your accent

The same code exports in 3 colours. Black on a light surface is the safest and the one to default to; white exists for dark backgrounds, and your accent colour for designs where black would look pasted on. All 3 encode exactly the same link.

Contrast is what a camera reads, so pick the colour that stands furthest from whatever sits behind it.

The ready-made signs

If you do not want to lay anything out, the sign designer gives you 4 templates and 4 sizes, with your event name and a line of your own text already placed. The code sits at a size that works for that format, with the clear margin it needs, so nothing has to be judged by eye.

Export as PNG at 300 dpi for a home printer, or as PDF with 3 mm bleed and crop marks for a print shop.

A6 for tables, A4 by the door. If you only print 1 format, A5 is the compromise that works in both places.

The 4 designs

Classic, Script, Modern Minimal and Festive. They differ in typeface pairing and how much decoration sits around the code, not in how well the code scans — that part is fixed in every template. Script suits weddings; Festive is built for birthdays and parties.

You can override the fonts and the colours if the template is close but not right.

The code does not change

One code belongs to one album, and renaming the event, moving the date or switching the accent colour leaves it untouched. That is why printing early costs you nothing: nothing you edit afterwards invalidates a sign already on a table.

It also means a reprint is only ever about the paper, never about the link.

Before you print 40 of them

Print 1, put it where it will actually stand, and scan it from a normal sitting distance with a phone that is not yours. That single test catches a code printed too small, a margin trimmed away, and a colour that vanishes against the paper you chose.

Then print the rest. The 3 minutes this costs are cheaper than a room of stands nobody can read.
