Preview the branded guest page
Open the guest page itself, on a phone, signed out. That is the only view that matches what a client s guests will get.
A brand in review does not appear yet — the surfaces keep their existing appearance until it goes live.
Why a phone and not a monitor
Every guest reads this page on a phone, in a room, often at low brightness with a drink in the other hand. A layout that looks generous on a laptop is a different object at that size, and the accent colour that seemed elegant can become the button nobody finds.
Look at it the way it will be used or you are checking the wrong thing.
- Wait until the brand is live. A draft brand shows nothing. The screen says so.
- Open the guest link on a phone. Signed in you see the owner view, which is not what a guest gets.
- Check it in the room s light. Contrast that works on a monitor can fail on a phone at low brightness.
And signed out
Signed in, you see the owner view. The guest page is the anonymous one, and it can differ in ways that matter — a closed upload window, a password, a step you switched on and forgot. A borrowed phone or a private window is the honest test.
A private window removes the sign-in but keeps your network, so it will not reveal a venue problem.
A brand in review shows nothing
Until a brand is live the guest surfaces keep their existing appearance, so previewing during review tells you nothing about the branding. The setup screen says it is not live yet and shows the date review was requested.
This is the honest reason a logo uploaded yesterday is not on the page today.
What to actually check
Your name at the top, the logo at phone size, the accent on the upload button, and the foot of the page — support address, legal notice, and whether the attribution line is where you expect it. Those 5 are what a client will notice.
Then send yourself something, so you see the success screen too.
| Check | Where | Common problem |
|---|---|---|
| Brand name and logo | Top of the page | Logo too detailed for phone size |
| Accent colour | The upload button | Too little contrast in a dim room |
| Support address | Foot of the page | Still empty, so nothing renders |
| Legal notice | Foot of the page | Incomplete fields, incomplete notice |
| Attribution line | Foot of the page | On, when you expected it off |
An empty field renders nothing rather than a placeholder, so a gap looks deliberate. Check for absence, not just for errors.
Before you show a client
Run the same check on a real event rather than an empty one, so the album has something in it. A branded page with an empty album makes a weaker case than the same page with 20 photos.
A branded demo event is the tidy way to do that.
Check the address too
If you have a custom domain, the preview should be on it rather than on the default address, because the domain is the part clients notice first. A domain still verifying will not serve the page yet.
The domain and the brand are separate steps and can go live at different times.
Common questions
Why does the preview not show my branding?
The brand is probably still in review. Surfaces keep their existing appearance until it goes live.
Can I preview from my own account?
Only partially. Signed in you see the owner view rather than the guest page.
What should I check first?
The logo at phone size and the accent on the upload button.
Why is my support address missing?
An empty field renders nothing. Fill it in and it appears.
Should I preview on the custom domain?
Yes. That is the part a client notices first.
