Find receipts and invoice PDFs
Receipts and invoices live in your account settings under billing. They are not inside the individual event, which is where people look first.
A receipt is also emailed to the address on your account when the payment completes.
Where they actually are
In your account settings, under billing. The split catches people out because both feel like the same thing: an event shows the album, the guests and the settings, while the account shows what has been paid for.
That is also why an archived or deleted event does not take its invoice with it. The paperwork belongs to the account.
- Open your account settings. Billing sits with the account. An event shows what is in it, not what was paid.
- Find the purchase. Every invoice belongs to exactly 1 event purchase, so the list reads chronologically.
- Check your email if it is not there. The receipt goes to the address on the account, which may not be the one you check.
One invoice per purchase
There is no monthly statement to reconcile, because there is no subscription. Each personal purchase is a one-off for 1 event and produces exactly 1 invoice, so the list is a list of parties rather than of billing periods.
Business plans are different: those are prepaid subscriptions and bill per period.
The receipt by email
When a payment completes, a receipt goes to the address on your account. If it has not arrived, the address on file is the first thing to check — it is often an older one, or one that goes to a shared mailbox nobody reads.
Spam filters are the second. A receipt is a transactional message and lands there rarely, but it does happen.
When there is nothing to find
An event still showing as a draft was never paid for, and no invoice exists because no charge was made. That is the explanation behind a missing receipt more often than a lost email is.
A pending amount on your bank statement that never settles is an authorisation rather than a charge, and it falls away on its own.
| You want | Look in | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice PDF | Account settings, billing | Not in the event |
| Payment confirmation | Your email | Sent to the address on the account |
| What a plan includes | The pricing page | Per event, not per account |
| Whether a payment went through | The event | Still a draft means it did not |
If the event is live, a payment completed and an invoice exists. Those 2 always go together.
What the invoice carries
The company name, address and VAT number that were on file at the moment of purchase, along with the amount and the currency. It does not update when you change those details afterwards, which is why they are worth setting before you buy.
The event name appears on it too, which is what makes a list of them readable a year later.
Who in a team can see them
On a business account, billing is a separate permission. An owner sees everything, an administrator sees everything except billing, and there is a billing-only role for a bookkeeper who has no reason to touch events.
On a personal account there is no such split, because there is only you.
Common questions
Why is the invoice not in the event?
Billing belongs to the account. An event shows the album and its settings.
The receipt email never arrived — why?
Check the address on your account first. It is often an older one.
There is no invoice at all. What does that mean?
No payment completed. An event still showing as a draft was never charged for.
Do deleted events take their invoices with them?
No. The paperwork stays with the account.
Can my bookkeeper see invoices without seeing events?
Yes, on a business account. There is a billing-only role.
