Payment methods and currencies
You pay by card at checkout, in the currency your country is billed in. For the United Kingdom that is pounds.
The event goes live as soon as the payment completes, and the receipt arrives by email at the address on your account.
Card at checkout
Card payments are handled at checkout by our payment provider, so your card details never sit with us. That is also why the payment screen looks different from the rest of the dashboard — it belongs to the provider.
Bank transfer exists only for one region and is not a route for a UK purchase.
- Check the currency shown. It follows your country rather than your language. Pounds for the UK.
- Enter business details first if you need them. An issued invoice carries what was on file at that moment.
- Pay and check the event. It goes live on completion. A draft that stays a draft means the payment did not finish.
The currencies
Prices are shown and charged in 7 currencies: pounds, euros, US dollars, Polish złoty, Swiss francs, Nigerian naira and Japanese yen. Which one you see is decided by country rather than by the language your browser is set to.
Yen is charged in whole units, because the currency has no minor unit. The others carry the usual 2 decimals.

Each price is a one-off for 1 event. Nothing recurs and there is nothing to cancel.
What happens right after
The event moves out of draft and goes live, so the code starts working and guests can upload. The receipt goes to the email address on your account, and the invoice becomes available in your account settings.
If the event is still showing as a draft, the payment did not complete. Nothing has been charged in that case.
Business details before, not after
If you need a company name, address or VAT number on the invoice, set them before you pay. An invoice carries the details that were on file at that moment and does not update retroactively when you change them later.
They are synced for future purchases, so this is a once-per-account job rather than a per-event one.
Business plans are billed differently
The agency tiers are prepaid subscriptions rather than one-off purchases: you pay 6 or 12 months up front and get an event allowance and seats. That is a separate decision from anything on this page.
For your own party, the per-event tiers are the ones you want.
When a payment does not go through
The event stays a draft and no charge is made. Trying again is safe — a failed attempt leaves nothing behind, and a duplicate charge is something we can put right if it happens.
If your bank shows a pending amount that never settles, that is an authorisation rather than a charge, and it falls away on its own.

Which currency will I be charged in?
The one for your country. For the United Kingdom that is pounds.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Not for a UK purchase. That route exists for 1 region only.
When does my event go live?
As soon as the payment completes. A draft that stays a draft means it did not.
Where does the receipt go?
To the email address on your account, and the invoice appears in your account settings.
Do I need to add VAT details before paying?
Yes, if you want them on the invoice. It does not update retroactively.
