Short answer

You set a cover photo, an accent colour, the page style, the album layout and the guest-page language. Together they carry a personal event without any design work.

Your own brand name, logo and domain are a different thing: those belong to the business plans, not to a personal event.

What you can set

A cover photo for the top of the guest page, an accent colour that runs through the page and the album, a page style that changes the whole layout rather than a detail, and an album layout for how contributions are arranged. The event type sets the wording alongside all of that.

None of it is required. An event with nothing set still produces a finished-looking page.

  1. Set a cover photo. Optional. Every style has a design for having none, so the page never looks unfinished.
  2. Pick the accent colour. It runs through the guest page and the album. 1 colour is enough.
  3. Check it on a phone. The guest page is read on a phone. That is where the choice has to work.

The cover photo

A cover sits behind the top of the guest page, and you set a focal point so a portrait crops to the faces rather than to the ceiling. Every style also has a version for having no cover at all, so leaving it empty is a real option rather than a gap.

Pick something that reads at phone size. Detail that works on a laptop disappears in a thumbnail.

The accent colour

One colour, carried through the buttons and highlights on the guest page and the album. It is the cheapest way to make the page feel like your event rather than a form, and it costs 1 decision.

Contrast matters more than shade. A pale accent on a pale page makes the button that guests need harder to find.

Page style and album layout

The page style changes the whole composition of the upload page, from an editorial layout to a full-bleed cover or a poster treatment. The album layout is separate and governs how contributions are arranged once people look at them.

They are independent, so a bold upload page can lead to a quiet album, or the reverse.

The wording follows the event type

The sentences a guest reads come from the event type rather than from a text field: a wedding reads differently from a conference, and the prompt above the voice recorder changes with it. Changing the type rewrites all of it at once.

There is no free-text field for the guest page. That is deliberate — the page is short, and a paragraph on it costs uploads.

Your own brand is a different thing

Putting your own name, logo, colours and domain in front of a client s guests is what the business plans are for. On a personal event the styling above is what you get, and for your own party it is what you want anyway.

If you are running events for clients, that is the point at which the plan matters more than the colour picker.

Common questions

Do I have to set a cover photo?

No. Every style has a design for having none.

Can I write my own text on the guest page?

No. The wording comes from the event type; the page is deliberately short.

Does the accent colour affect the album too?

Yes. It runs through the guest page and the album.

Can I put my logo on it?

That belongs to the business plans, not to a personal event.

Where should I check my choices?

On a phone. That is where guests will see them.

The page does not look how you expected

Open it on a phone and send us a screenshot with the event name. That is quicker than describing it.
