Change the name, date, language and link
Name, date, guest-page language, accent colour and event type are all editable after the fact. None of them invalidates a code you have already printed.
The date is the exception worth care: it anchors how long the album lives, so moving it moves the expiry with it.
The name is guest-facing
Your guests read the event name on the upload page and in the album, so write it the way you would say it out loud rather than as a filing label. Changing it later is free and affects nothing else — the code, the link and every contribution stay exactly where they are.
It also appears in the exported archive s file name, so a rename before you download is tidier than after.
- Open Settings on the event. Name, date and review sit here; guest-facing styling sits with the guest page.
- Change what you need. It applies to the next guest who loads the page, not to anyone holding it open.
- Look at the guest page. Open it on a phone afterwards. That is where the change is visible.
The date moves the expiry
The retention window is anchored on the event date, not on the day you created or paid for the event. Moving the date therefore moves when the album expires, in both directions. That is the 1 edit on this page with a consequence beyond appearance.
A date in the past is handled sensibly: the clock starts at creation instead, so an album made the morning after still gets its full window.

Only the date has a consequence you cannot see on the page. Everything else is appearance.
The guest-page language
This sets the language your guests read on the upload page and in the album, and it is separate from the language your own dashboard is in. There are 8 to choose from: English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Nederlands, 日本語 and Bahasa Indonesia.
Pick the 1 most of your guests read. The page is short by design, so the rest follow the pictures.
The code survives all of it
A code points at the album itself, not at any of its details. Rename the event on the morning of the party, move the date, change the colour — the sign on the table keeps working. That is why printing early costs you nothing.
A code that suddenly opens the wrong album is a different problem: an older file went to the printer.
The settings live in 2 places
Name, date and the review setting sit in the event settings. Everything your guests see — language, styling, the optional steps before and after an upload — sits with the guest page. That split is the detour people take when hunting for a switch.
If a setting is not where you expected, look in the other of the 2 before concluding it does not exist.
When a change takes effect
For the next guest who loads the page. Anyone who already has it open keeps the old state until they reload, which matters if you change something mid-party and then wonder why a guest still sees the old wording.
Nothing already uploaded is affected by any of these edits.
