Short answer

The overview opens with a row of counts — photos, videos, voice notes, guest scans and the total — followed by the most recent contributions and a note when something is waiting for approval.

All of it updates while your guests contribute. You do not need to reload to see the current state.

What the counters count

Photos, videos and voice notes count what is in the album; the total is their sum. Anything still being prepared, or waiting for your approval, is not included yet — which is why the number can lag behind what a guest has just told you they sent.

Refused uploads appear nowhere. They never reached the album and occupy no storage.

  1. Read the counter row. It tells you how much has arrived, split by kind of contribution.
  2. Watch the approval note. If anything is waiting for you it says so here. Without review-first it never appears.
  3. Open the guest-page preview. That shows you what guests see, rather than what you configured.

Guest scans are not guests

The scan figure counts how often the guest page was opened, not how many people were there. Somebody scanning twice counts twice, and a forwarded link produces further opens. As a measure of whether word got round it is useful; as a headcount it is not.

More interesting than the absolute number is the ratio. Many scans and few uploads means people looked and sent nothing.

When scans and uploads diverge

A wide gap has 3 usual causes: guests assumed they needed an app, they were unsure who would see the pictures, or an extra step stood before the upload. All 3 are defused by 1 sentence on the table card.

Check what a guest sees rather than guessing — the preview on this page goes straight there.

The most recent contributions

Below the counters runs a list of the latest contributions with timestamps. It is the quickest answer to whether anything is still arriving or the evening is over. For the full collection, switch to the Album tab.

With the name question switched on, the signature sits with the contribution. Otherwise it stays blank, and blank is the normal state.

The note about waiting items

With review-first on, the overview reports how many contributions are waiting for your decision. While they wait nobody sees them — not even the guest who sent them. During a party it is worth looking every 30 minutes.

Without review-first this note never appears, because nothing is ever waiting.

What the overview will not tell you

It says nothing about how full your storage is. 40 videos occupy a multiple of 40 photos and the number looks identical either way, so if you expect a lot of video the plan is the more reliable thing to check.

The time left before the album expires is not here either; that sits with the event details.

Common questions

Why does the number not rise immediately?

Because a contribution is prepared first. For video that takes minutes rather than seconds.

Are guest scans the same as guests?

No. It counts opens of the guest page, and 1 person can produce several.

Do hidden contributions still count?

They stay in the album for you. For your guests they are invisible.

Where do I see how full storage is?

Not on the overview. Storage follows the plan and sits with the event details.

Do I need to reload the page?

No. The figures update while guests contribute.

A number makes no sense
