Short answer

Your profile holds your name, the language your dashboard is in, and the email address on the account. It also lists the devices currently signed in, so you can revoke any you do not recognise.

Billing details — invoice address and VAT number — sit on a separate screen, not here.

Your name and email address

Your name is for your own account, not for your guests — the guest page carries the event name instead. The email address on the account is where notifications and retention warnings go, so it is worth checking that it is one you actually read.

Nothing on this screen appears on a guest page, which is why changing your name is free of consequences.

  1. Open your account settings. This is about you, not about an event. Nothing here changes what guests see.
  2. Set your dashboard language. 7 to choose from. It is separate from each event s guest-page language.
  3. Look at the signed-in devices. Revoke anything you do not recognise. It takes effect immediately.

The dashboard language

The dashboard runs in 7 languages: English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Nederlands and 日本語. It changes what you read while working and nothing your guests read.

Each event has its own guest-page language, set separately, and there are 8 of those — the guest page also offers Bahasa Indonesia.

They are independent. A German dashboard can run an event whose guest page is in Japanese.

The devices signed in

The account lists every device currently signed in, with the one you are using marked. Anything you do not recognise can be revoked, and that takes effect immediately rather than at the next sign-in.

This is worth a look after using a shared computer, and after any device you no longer own.

Billing is on another screen

Invoice address, company name and VAT number are billing details and live with billing, not with your profile. That split catches people out, because both feel like account settings.

Set them before a purchase rather than after: an issued invoice carries the details that were on file at that moment and does not change retroactively.

Event settings are separate again

Nothing here touches an event. The name, date, language and styling a guest sees all belong to the event, and changing your own profile leaves every one of them alone.

If you are hunting for a switch and it is not in your profile, it is on the event.

Where notifications go

Email is the channel. Retention warnings before an album is removed, and the notices tied to your account, all go to the address on file. There is no text-message channel for a personal account.

That makes the email address the setting on this page worth getting right.

Common questions

Does my name appear to guests?

No. The guest page carries the event name, not yours.

How many dashboard languages are there?

7. The guest page has 8, because it also offers Bahasa Indonesia.

Does changing my language change the guest page?

No. Each event sets its guest-page language separately.

Where do I set my invoice address?

On the billing screen, not in your profile. Set it before a purchase.

What does revoking a device do?

It signs that device out immediately.
