Share the finished album
Send the same album link you already have. There is no separate finished version — the album simply stops changing once uploads are closed.
Before you send it, settle 3 things: is the album public, may guests download, and have you got the files yourself.
There is no separate finished album
The link you printed on the table cards is the link you send afterwards. Nothing is republished and no new address is generated — the album is simply the same page with more in it and, once you close uploads, nothing further arriving.
That means anyone who saved the link during the party already has the finished album. They just do not know it is finished.
- Download your own copy first. Everything after this is reversible. Not having the files is not.
- Do the tidy-up pass. Hide what is blurred or duplicated. It takes 10 minutes and it is what makes it feel finished.
- Send the link with 1 line. Say what it is, whether they can download, and how long it stays up.
Settle 3 things first
Is the album public, so the link shows something? May guests download, if you want them to have the files, and have you got your own copy so nothing afterwards is risky? Those 3 answers decide what your message should say.
Getting your own download first is the one that matters. Every other decision can be changed later.
What the message should say
3 short pieces: that the album is there, whether they can take the pictures, and roughly how long it stays up. People act on a deadline they can see and ignore one they have to guess at.
If a password is involved, put it in the same message. A separate one gets lost.
Closing uploads, or not
Closing the upload window stops contributions immediately and invalidates the guest links used for sending. Viewing is a separate switch, so an album can be closed for uploads and still open to look at — which is the usual shape once you have downloaded everything.
Leave uploads open for a few days first. The second wave arrives from people who were too busy to send anything on the night.
How long it stays reachable
The album lives its plan s window measured from the event date: 30 days on the free tier, then 90, 183 or 365. After that a 14-day grace period runs, and warning emails go out 14 days, 3 days and 1 day before anything is removed.
Say the date in your message. "Until the end of March" gets people to look; "for a while" does not.
When it is genuinely over
Once you have the files and the guests have had their look, you can make the album private and the link stops showing anything. That is tidier than waiting for the window to run out, and it is reversible until the media itself is removed.
Keep your own download backed up somewhere. When the retention window closes, the media is gone on our side too.
