Short answer

A guest finds the album again through the link the page offers to copy after sending, or through the code on the table. Downloading works only if you have opened it for the album.

Deleting their own contribution is not something they can do. Without an account there is no personal area for it — only you can remove it from the dashboard.

Finding the album again

After sending, the guest page shows a prompt to take the link along: copy it, or save it through the phone s share sheet. That is the only route back, because without an account there is no list of albums visited. Anyone who misses it finds the album again through the code on the table.

Say that 1 sentence when you set the cards out. It saves you the question the next day about where the pictures went.

  1. Save the link. Right after sending the page offers to copy or share it. That is the route back.
  2. View the album. The link leads to the shared album, as long as you have opened it and no password stands in front.
  3. Ask for a deletion. Anyone wanting something withdrawn asks the hosts. The delete function sits with you.

What a guest may see

The shared album shows contributions that are approved and not hidden. You can close the album entirely, in which case the link leads nowhere, and you can put a password in front of it that every viewer types once. Both are your switches, not the guest s.

With the review step running, a guest sees their own contribution only after you approve it. That is not a fault; it is the purpose of the review.

Downloading, for guests

Guest downloads are off by default. Switch them on and anyone with the album link can take the pictures as a package; optionally you set a separate password that applies to downloading only. Viewing stays open while taking things home carries an extra step.

On the free tier there is no package to download. Guests are left with the single-file route there.

Withdrawing a contribution

A guest cannot remove their own upload. That is the other side of a route with no sign-in: without an account nobody can prove a contribution is theirs. Deletion therefore runs through you in the dashboard.

Take those requests seriously and act quickly. A guest who does not know who to ask sends nothing next time.

Hiding instead of deleting

You do not have to delete something to take it out of the shared album. An approved contribution can simply be hidden: it disappears for guests, stays with you, and can be brought back later. For a blurred picture or a duplicate that is the calmer route.

When somebody explicitly asks for deletion, though, hiding is not what they meant. Then delete it properly.

What to tell your guests

2 notes are enough. First: take the link with you, or you will not find the album again. Second: if you want something removed, tell us — both fit on a table card and answer the questions that otherwise arrive the next day.

If you open downloads, mention that too — otherwise nobody knows they are allowed to take the pictures.

Common questions

How does a guest find the album later?

Through the link the page offers to copy after sending, or through the code at the venue.

Can a guest delete their own photo?

Not themselves. Without an account there is no personal area; you delete it from the dashboard.

May guests download the pictures?

Only if you open downloads for the album. They are off by default.

Can I password-protect the download?

Yes. It is separate from the viewing password and applies only to downloading.

Why does a guest not see their contribution?

Either it is still being prepared, or it is waiting for your approval, or it is hidden.

A guest cannot find their picture

Send us the album name and roughly when they sent it. That tells us where the contribution is sitting.
