The guest page: where uploads happen

This is what a guest sees after scanning. It offers photos, video and a voice recorder, in whatever combination you have allowed, and it asks for nothing before the first upload unless you switch a step on. It is designed to be finished in under a minute.

It carries your event name, the wording that matches your event type, and your accent colour. What it never carries is a sign-up form.

1. Share the guest page. The printed code and the shared link both lead here. This is the only address guests need.
2. Open the album to guests. It is public from the start. A password can be put in front of it if you would rather it were not.
3. Switch on the live wall. Only if you have a screen or projector in the room. It stays off until you turn it on.

The album: where everyone looks

The album shows contributions that are ready and not hidden. Guests reach it from the same link, and the page offers it directly after an upload — which is how someone finds their own photo among the rest. It is public from the moment the album exists.

You can close it entirely, or set a password that every viewer types once. Both are your switches, not the guest s.

The live wall: the screen in the room

The live wall fills a screen or projector and brings new contributions up on their own, with no one operating it. Seeing a photo appear is what prompts the next one, which is the whole reason it exists. It is off by default and available on the Celebrate and Grand plans.

It is a display surface, not a control surface. Nothing you do on the wall changes the album.

Leaving the code in the corner turns the wall into a second invitation for anyone who has not scanned yet.

Why it is 1 code and not 3

A guest holds a phone, not a map. Giving them 1 address and letting the page offer the next step is the difference between a code that gets scanned and a code that gets ignored. Everything else is reachable from there.

For you, this also means a reprint is never needed when you change how the album or the wall behaves.

What the review step changes

With review switched on, a contribution goes to a queue instead of straight to the album — and the same applies to the live wall. Nothing reaches a screen in the room until you approve it, which is the point of using it at a public venue.

By default nothing is queued: uploads reach the album and the wall directly. That suits most private parties.

Which of the 3 you actually need

Every album needs the guest page. Almost every host wants the album open, because guests looking at what is there is what makes them add more. The live wall is worth it when there is a screen already in the room and someone will notice it.

A projector in an empty corner adds nothing. A screen behind the bar changes the evening.
