Guest uploads

The route from a scan to a photo in the album. These articles answer what guests ask at the table — and what you can tell them beforehand so they never have to ask.

For a guest the path is deliberately short: scan the code, pick photos from the camera roll, tap to send. No app, no account, no sign-in. Which is why the questions rarely come during the upload itself but before it — which files go through, how long a video may be, whether everyone can really join in.

What your guests never see is what happens next. Every file is checked and prepared before it goes into the album, so there are a few seconds between the tap and the photo appearing — minutes, for a video. That is not a fault; it is the reason the album loads quickly on a phone network.

Your own switches for all of this live under Dashboard: what guests may add, whether voice notes are possible, and what is visible in the shared album.
