Placement decides most of it

A code works where guests are already seated with a phone in their hand. That is the table, the bar queue and the area people wait in — not the entrance, which everyone passes once while carrying a coat. Several small signs beat 1 large one, and they all carry the same code.

Paper is the cheapest part of the evening. Print more signs than feels necessary.

1. Print 1 per table. A6 cards. The code is identical on every one of them.
2. Say it once out loud. Whoever gives a speech can cover it in 10 seconds. That reaches guests no sign does.
3. Send it again the next day. One message to the group, with the link. It costs nothing and collects a second round.

The objection nobody says out loud

People assume they will have to install something or sign up. They do not say it; they simply do not scan. The sentence that removes it is short and has to be said rather than only printed: no app, no account, it opens in your browser.

Anyone giving a speech can carry that in 10 seconds, and it reaches the guests who would never read a table card.

What the sign should say

Write the outcome, not the mechanism. "Your photos from today, all in 1 album" tells a guest why they should bother; "Scan our QR code" tells them what to do without telling them why. Keep it to 1 line, because a paragraph on a table card is read by nobody.

Adding the web address underneath in small type costs nothing and rescues anyone whose camera is uncooperative.

Before the day

Send the link to the group chat in advance. A guest who has opened the page once opens it again without hesitating on the night, and it lets the early arrivals contribute photos from getting ready. Open the upload window early enough that this is possible.

Then test the printed card from a borrowed phone before you print the rest.

During the party

If you have a screen in the room, put the live wall on it and leave the code in the corner. Seeing a photo appear is what prompts the next 1, and the corner code turns the screen into a second invitation for anyone who has not scanned yet. The wall comes with the Celebrate and Grand plans.

If the venue Wi-Fi is weak, say early that mobile data is the safer choice. A room of phones sending at once reaches a guest network s limit quickly.

The morning after

Send the link once more, saying the album is still open. Plenty of guests took photos and never uploaded them, because they were dancing, eating or talking. That single message collects a second round for the price of 1 line of text.
