Delete your account, or export your data
Deleting your account permanently removes it along with every event, album and uploaded moment — including what your guests contributed. It happens immediately and signs you out.
If you want the data rather than the removal, export it instead. That leaves everything in place.
What deletion covers
Your account, every event on it, every album and every contribution — your own and your guests. It is not limited to your profile, and it does not leave the albums standing for the people who uploaded to them.
It takes effect immediately rather than after a waiting period, and you are signed out as soon as it is done.
- Download your albums first. Account deletion takes the media with it, and no album survives it.
- Export your account data if you want a record. It is a separate action and it removes nothing.
- Then delete, if that is what you want. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
Guests contributions go too
The photos your guests sent belong to events on your account, so they are removed with it. That is worth thinking about if other people are still expecting to look at an album, because nothing warns them and nothing is left behind.
If your aim is to remove yourself rather than everyone s pictures, download the albums and hand the files over first.

The export answers what do you have about me. The deletion answers get rid of all of it.
The export
Exporting your account data gives you what is held about the account itself, and it changes nothing — no event is touched and no album stops working. It is the right choice when you want a record rather than an ending.
It is not the same as downloading your albums. That is a separate job, done per event, and it is the one that gets you the photos.
What to do first
Download every album you care about, back the files up somewhere, and tell anybody who is still using an album that it is going. Once the account is gone none of those are possible any more, and there is nothing on our side to recover from.
The 5 minutes this costs are the difference between leaving and losing.
What about invoices
Download any invoices you need for your own records before you delete the account, because they live with the account. If you have bought events for a business, that is worth doing carefully rather than quickly.
There is nothing to cancel on the personal side, since a purchase is a one-off and nothing recurs.
If you only want part of it gone
Deleting a single event removes that event and its contributions and leaves the account alone. Deleting a single contribution is smaller again. Both are better answers than deleting the account when the account is not the problem.
Work from the smallest action upwards rather than reaching for the largest one.
