Providers on a grid
Providers on a grid: what guests have to install, what you keep, what it costs per event.
Providers in the same table: what a guest has to install, what resolution you get back, how long the album stays reachable, and what one event costs.
The columns are fixed before any provider is entered. That way the order of the rows does not decide the outcome — what is written in the fields does.
Where a provider does not state something on their own site, the cell reads "not stated". Not guessed, and not read generously.
When a provider changes a price or a limit, the grid is measured again and carries the date it was measured. A table with no date is a claim about the past.
The source sits under every row. Anyone who doubts a number should be able to check it without asking us.
A provider enters the grid when guests can upload without installing anything and the price is published. Anyone who only quotes after a sales call is missing — not out of strictness, but because a number you have to ask for cannot be compared. Gathmo sits in the same grid and does not win every column.
Read the grid for the shape rather than the winner. The providers cluster into three kinds — a free tier with a hard cap, a flat price for one event, and hardware you hire by the day — and knowing which kind suits your evening narrows the field faster than any single row does. A free column almost always conceals its limit somewhere else in the table.
